As we start the new year, it is a traditional time for resolutions. It is also an opportunity to take stock of the past year and look forward to what lies ahead. For Cosmetics Cluster UK (CCUK), 2025 marked our 5th anniversary. We are pleased to report that our membership has increased to 60 companies. This year, we plan to continue this steady growth. We will hold and participate in several events, beginning with our webinar on January 21st. For details, please see our events calendar.
Building Connections Through Networking
At CCUK, we aim to be the bridge that connects organisations through the power of networking and collaboration. Our pillars serve as key drivers for our projects and activities. One of these pillars is Education & Skills. Following our in-person members’ networking day last year at the University of Bradford, we were delighted to learn that students from the university received placements at our member, Orean. This initiative exemplifies our commitment to fostering connections and providing opportunities for the next generation.
Advancing Apprenticeships in the Industry
Ahead of National Apprenticeships Week next month, we are excited to share that our member Tiro is collaborating with the Society of Cosmetic Scientists (SCS) on a new Level 3 cosmetic technician apprenticeship scheme. This programme aims to equip individuals with the skills needed to thrive in our industry. The SCS has also recently announced that applications are open for its 2026 Mentor Scheme. This initiative aims to build capability, confidence, and connection across the sector. For more information, visit the Mentor Programme | Society of Cosmetic Scientists.
Gratitude for Our Members
This month, we express our gratitude to ingredient manufacturer Innospec for renewing their membership. We are also excited to welcome several new members to the CCUK community. If you are interested in joining us, click here for more information.
Looking Ahead: Our Vision for the Future
As we move forward, we remain committed to fostering collaboration and innovation across the supply chain. Our goal is to help members grow, solve challenges, and connect with one another. This approach will ultimately strengthen our sector's position in the UK beauty, cosmetics, and personal care industry.
In conclusion, the journey ahead is filled with opportunities. We invite you to join us as we embark on this exciting path together. Let us work collaboratively to enhance our industry and support one another in achieving our goals.
