From neurocosmetics and psychodermatology, to biotech innovation, industry events and new member announcements, April has been another exciting month across the Cosmetics Cluster UK community.

Following insightful conversations at in-cosmetics Global in Paris, one of the strongest themes emerging across the sector is the growing connection between beauty, wellbeing and emotional health. Ingredient suppliers — including several CCUK members — highlighted technologies and ingredients linked to mood enhancement, sensorial experiences and wellness-focused claims, reflecting the continued rise of neurocosmetics and emotionally driven product development.

As interest in this area grows, so too does the need for credible scientific understanding and responsible communication. To support this, our Bringing Psychodermatology into Personal Care Task Force continues to bring together experts from across the value chain — including brands, suppliers and researchers — to explore market mapping, language refinement and scientific credibility in this evolving space.

April also saw the CCUK board come together in Leeds for our annual in-person board meeting — an important opportunity to reflect on achievements from the past year and discuss the future direction of the cluster. Discussions covered communications, events, collaborations, strategic planning and future opportunities for members across the UK cosmetics and personal care sector.

Looking ahead, there’s plenty still to come in 2026, including:

We’re also delighted to welcome two new members to the cluster:

It’s always encouraging to see the level of innovation, expertise and collaboration happening across the network, and we’re excited to continue building momentum throughout the year.
