Exciting Developments in the Cluster
Spring is a season of growth, renewal, and fresh opportunities. At CCUK, this spirit is reflected in the exciting developments taking place across the cluster. We are delighted to announce the appointment of Fraser Bell and Carmen Lerga to the CCUK Board. Both bring a wealth of experience from across the chemical industry, along with valuable skills and perspectives that will strengthen the board and support the continued evolution of the cluster. Their passion for collaboration and innovation will play a key role as we look ahead to an ambitious and successful future.
Fraser and Carmen are already preparing to get involved in upcoming CCUK activities and events. They will represent the organisation and engage with members. We encourage our network to connect with them, learn more about their backgrounds, and explore how their expertise will contribute to the wider community.
Engaging the Next Generation
Alongside this, we are proud to see one of our recent initiatives come to life through our sponsorship of the interactive periodic table at the Catalyst Science Discovery Centre in Widnes. Visitors can now explore the Zinc element and learn more about Zinc Oxide as a sun filter—while also discovering CCUK’s involvement. It’s a fantastic example of how industry can engage and inspire wider audiences, particularly the next generation.
The Importance of Collaboration
Collaboration is crucial in our industry. By working together, we can solve challenges and foster innovation. The contributions of Fraser and Carmen will undoubtedly enhance our collaborative efforts. Their insights will help us navigate the complexities of the beauty and cosmetics sector.
As we move forward, we must remember that every member plays a vital role in our success. The collective knowledge and experience within our network are invaluable. We encourage everyone to share ideas and best practices. This exchange of information can lead to breakthroughs that benefit us all.
Acknowledging Our Members
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our members for their ongoing support. In particular, we recognise Surfachem, who have been part of the CCUK journey from the very beginning and hold the distinction of being our very first member. Their commitment to our mission has set a strong foundation for our cluster.
Looking Ahead
As we move into the months ahead, with longer days and brighter evenings on the horizon, we look forward to building on this momentum. Strengthening connections, driving collaboration, and continuing to support the growth of the chemical cluster are our primary goals.
We invite you to stay engaged with us. Participate in our events, share your thoughts, and connect with new members. Together, we can create a thriving community that supports innovation and growth.
